Catering Sales + Production Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Catering Production Coordinator is an integral member of the Swift + Company catering team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

+ Answering phones / directing inquiries
+ Filing documents and maintaining office organization
+ Miscellaneous errand running
+ Carrying out specific projects and research by deadline, following up on results
+ Acting as an event production assistant the day of events as needed
+ Catering event management-direct interaction with client, managing waitstaff, party closing and following up with event planner
+ Arranges showroom displays, maintains a clean showroom and keeps shelves organized and stocked with rental equipment
+ Attends industry related functions as assigned by manager
+ Fill in for other positions, when necessary, for smooth operation of the business
+ Timely return of responses to customers, orders and information request
+ Attends walkthroughs on job sites as requested by catering manager
+ Applicant must be flexible to work weekends and/or nights
+ Assists other Sales/Customer Service Representatives when needed
+ Attends weekly production meetings and sales team meetings
+ Willing to be trained and developed as a sales team member after demonstrating knowledge and skills to fill position
+ Other duties to be determined

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

+ Must maintain a professional personal appearance
+ Knowledge of the event industry. Prior catering, event planning or other hospitality experience a plus
+ Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Software (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Canva, Adobe Illustrator, other creative apps and software for position
+ Associates Degree in marketing, communications, business, or other related subjects
+ Ability to thrive in a team orientated, fast pace and creative business environment
+ Strong sense of ethics, etiquette and tact
+ Ability to establish and develop relationships with fellow employees, vendor and customers
+ Problem solver and solution oriented with the ability to identify and handle conflicts timely
+ Strong communication skills, written and verbal
+ Detail oriented and organized with the ability to complete and manage a large volume of high quality work quickly coupled with the ability to multi task effectively
+ Positive attitude, composure, humor, creativity, adaptability and approachability
+ Availability to work flexible day/night and weekend schedules due to the seasonal nature of the Swift + Company customers’ business volume
+ Must be able to use mathematics to solve problems
+ Must have excellent attendance and punctuality
+ Must display excellent customer service skills and great attitude
+ Must be detail-oriented, patient, dependable, and possess a strong work ethic
+ Must have valid Texas driver’s license and ability to drive catering vans and trucks if needed
+ Must be able to lift approximately 50-70 lbs. if needed
+ Must pass company drug screens / background check
+ TABC certified for alcohol/bar services
