Rental + Decor Sales Associate

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Manages + Develops lists of existing customers provided by the Director of Sales, to nurture existing relationships and secure future business as the need arises
+ Calls on prospects to explain features and costs of services and their respective advantages
+ Enters new orders and completes updates on existing orders for customers
+ Meets with customers in our new showroom or their event location to determine the event type and recommends appropriate rental equipment, décor equipment and accessories based on the customer’s needs; shows the customer suggested equipment and table displays when possible
+ Prepares rental contracts, reviews terms and conditions of the contract and damage waiver with the customers and obtains customer signature and deposits
+ Coordinates customer changes with warehouse fulfillment and delivery team
+ Arranges showroom displays, maintains a clean showroom and keeps shelves organized and stocked with rental + decor items
+ Responds to customer service opportunities with Director of Sales and resolves complaints and/or refers complaints to the appropriate department if needed
+ Update and call payments list daily and alerts supervisor of overdue contracts
+ Meet individual sales goals as set by the department (monthly, quarterly, yearly)
+ Guide and assist clients in achieving their event vision and consult with them to determine event details
+ Oversee the planning and installation of projects, including being onsite for event installations/breakdowns (might fall in the evening or weekends)
+  Supervise crews on installations and assist with event set ups as needed
+ Create CAD, Canva and/or Adobe Illustrator diagrams and style boards based on meetings, walkthroughs, and event spaces to create the full image to the client
+ Attend and network at event industry socials, mixers, conferences, bridal shows, etc.
+ General Administrative/Clerical work will be required (filing, etc.)
+ Adheres to all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations in written or verbal form

EDUCATION, SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
+ Prior catering, event planning or other hospitality experience a plus
+ Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel, Canva
+ Bachelor’s degree preferred
+ Ability to thrive in a team orientated, fast pace and innovative environment
+ Love the art of selling and developing a book of business (client lists), creating new opportunities for business in different market segments, be driven to succeed
+ Ability to establish and develop relationships with customers, internal and external
+ Problem solver and solution oriented with the ability to identify and handle conflicts timely
+ Strong communication skills, written and verbal
+ Detail oriented and organized with the ability to complete and manage a large volume of high quality work quickly coupled with the ability to multi task effectively; includes using tools provided by supervisor
+ Positive attitude, composure, humor, creativity, adaptability and approachability
+ Availability to work flexible day/night and weekend schedules
+ Must possess sales and customer relation skills
+ Must be able to speak and write English clearly and legibly. The ability to speak Spanish is a plus
+ Must be able to lift approximately 50-70 lbs. on occasion
+ Must pass company drug screens / background check
